Spaced dressed-timber paling fence on a new subdivided property

We built a paling fence using spaced dressed timber, instead of the standard rough-sawn close-paled finish. The dressed faces give a cleaner, more refined line while keeping the bones of a traditional paling.

The spacing works well on a new subdivision boundary because it gives privacy without the feeling of being enclosed. Dressed timber also holds its line consistently and is less prone to warping than rough timber, which matters on a fence that has to look right for the next ten years.

It is significantly more cost effective than a full Laminata, so it is the option we recommend most often when a homeowner wants better than standard but does not need top-of-stack.

Standard paling or dressed-timber paling?

Same crew, two different price points. Ring Aaron and we will walk the boundary, take photos and give you both prices.
